​Do you really need that $1? Chances are no. That doesn’t buy much in today’s world, but you add your $1 to a bunch of other $1s, that’s a tidal wave for good.

What if my favorite influencer/celebrity/personality hasn’t joined the wave? Send them a comment or DM and tell them to hop on and then donate $1 to their cause to get them off and running!

Will my influencer/celebrity/personality match my donation? That’s up to them, but we sure hope they get involved in some capacity with their own donation. Send them a DM and encourage them to give more than $1!

How much of my donation actually goes to the charity I donate to? 1PF is a nonprofit that wants as much of the money to go to the beneficiaries as possible, and by using Givebutter as the payment platform, at least 97% of your donation goes directly to the beneficiary. The 3% covers the operational expenses of running 1PF. If that 3% provides more than 1PF needs to run and market the social tidal wave, 1PF will donate excess funds to keep the wave rolling.
